One week report

1) The basement is nearly all primed. Claire, her Grandma Anne, and her dad were responsible for most of it. Her dad was responsible for all the painting in the two basement bedrooms.

2) Claire and her dad built a car out of a block of wood and the holes cut out of doors for doorknobs. She painted it herself under the careful supervision of her cousin Luke and her pregnant Auntie Corinna.

3) The fireplace has the scratch-coat of cement on, and the bricks have been carefully laid out for optimal good looks and least amount of dusting stress. It would be nice, if when we're all moved in and you're visiting us, if you would out of the blue say something to Kevin like, "Wow. Is that brick every nicely arranged and pleasing to the eye. I bet it's no trouble at all to dust since it's been so obviously thoughtfully planned out."

4) Vinyl has been installed upstairs. Carpet is being installed tomorrow.

5) Also, much cleaning up has happened, and both of our garage doors are now the same colour.

6) And the wonderful Henry Gerbrandt continues to bless us with his door-hanging expertise in the basement.

House looks great - love the fireplace stone. And good job on getting Corinna's belly in the picture.
